There is a tremendous need on the island of Kauai for effective youth ministry. The challenges for teens are compounded by the natural limitations of the island, prolific drug use and a spiritual environment that is conducive to New Age cults and a variety of other anti-Christian religions. It’s amazing to realize that 80% of believers came to Christ during their teenage years! That makes targeting this age group a particularly vital objective if we are to effectively reach the island of Kauai with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
The wonderful news is that there are open doors of ministry to teens all over this island! We have our combined Junior & Senior High Youth Ministry meetings on Sunday evenings, from 6:00pm to 8:30pm at the CCK sanctuary (the big white tent) on our church property along the Kapaa Bypass Road.
We enjoy occasional camps and retreats and sleep-overs, along with beach parties and service projects to keep the gang reaching out. Let No One Despise Your Youth!
1 Timothy 4:12 says, “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” As believers in Jesus Christ, youung people have been given God’s Spirit, who is able to equip, inspire, train and empower them to accomplish so much for His Kingdom.
